Detailed research in 2014 presented by Golden's Mayor Christina Benty to the elected regional directors at Columbia Shuswap Regional District on the value of continuing the delivery of arts and culture activity as a shared service funded by taxpayer dollars.
In 2016, I was asked to create a Pecha Kucha to draw on my experience at Kicking Horse Culture to respond to this question "What is the role of the arts in changing people's lives?" This was presented at BC Touring Council's Fall Roundtable meetings in Nelson, BC.

This video shows the story of the restoration and celebratory re-opening of the Golden Civic Centre in British Columbia. Originally built by volunteers in 1948, the hall closed for construction in Sept 2010 and re-opened the week before New Year's 2011.
